Website Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

These Website Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website (the “Site”) operated by SilverStead Partners LLC (“SilverStead,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms govern only the Site. A separate written engagement letter or services agreement governs any consulting services we provide to you. If there is a conflict between these Terms and your engagement letter or services agreement regarding consulting services, your engagement letter or services agreement controls for those services.

1. Who We Are

SilverStead Partners LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, provides consulting, coordination, research, and support services for adult children, family members, and others helping aging parents or loved ones navigate decisions about Medicare, Medicaid care options, and related matters.

We are not a law firm, medical provider, financial advisor, insurance broker, or Medicare/Medicaid agent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or contracted with Medicare, Medicaid, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), or any government agency.

2. Eligibility; Authority to Submit Information

The Site is intended for adults at least 18 years old. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

If you submit information about another person, including a parent, spouse, family member, patient, client, or other individual, you represent that you have that person’s consent or other lawful authority to provide the information to SilverStead. You agree not to submit protected, confidential, sensitive, or personal information about another person unless you have the right to do so.

3. Informational Use Only

The content on the Site, and any general information shared by SilverStead through articles, blog posts, newsletters, downloadable materials, webinars, or social media, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not, and is not intended to be:

  • Legal advice;

  • Medical advice or a substitute for the advice of a licensed health care professional;

  • Financial, investment, tax, or accounting advice;

  • Insurance advice or a recommendation to purchase, change, surrender, or keep any insurance or annuity product;

  • Advice regarding the selection of a specific Medicare or Medicaid plan or policy.

Use of the Site, or communication with SilverStead through the Site, including by submitting a contact form, does not create a consultant-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship between you and SilverStead. A consulting relationship is established only through a signed written engagement letter or services agreement.

4. No Guarantee of Outcomes; User Decisions and Responsibilities

SilverStead does not guarantee any particular outcome, result, cost savings, care outcome, family agreement, government benefit, insurance approval, Medicare or Medicaid eligibility determination, provider availability, facility placement, plan enrollment result, or third-party action. Information about Medicare and Medicaid, care options, insurance, benefits, providers, facilities, and related matters may change and may vary based on individual facts.

You are responsible for your own decisions and for verifying information before relying on it. You should consult Medicare, Medicaid, State Health Insurance Assistance Programs or SHIPs, licensed insurance professionals, health care providers, attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, care managers, government agencies, and other qualified advisors as appropriate for your circumstances.

5. Call and Meeting Recording Notice

If you schedule or participate in a call, video conference, or in-person meeting with SilverStead, please note that we may record and transcribe the call or meeting with participant consent for the purposes described in our Privacy Notice. Recording and transcription is addressed in our engagement letter and confirmed verbally at the start of the call or meeting. By participating in a recorded and transcribed call or meeting, you consent to the recording and transcription. If you do not consent, please tell us and we will not record and transcribe the call or meeting.

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Site or any software made available through it.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, downloadable materials, and the “SilverStead Partners” name and logo, are owned by or licensed to SilverStead Partners. 9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services, or may rely on third-party tools (such as scheduling, video conferencing, or payment platforms). We provide these links and tools for your convenience. SilverStead does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, products, services, or practices of any third party. Your use of third-party websites and services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies.

SilverStead may provide general information about, or help you think through questions involving, third-party providers, facilities, plans, agencies, professionals, programs, resources, or services. Unless expressly stated in a signed written agreement, SilverStead does not control, supervise, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any third party, and SilverStead is not responsible for any third-party decision, action, omission, statement, fee, availability, eligibility determination, coverage determination, quality of care, or service outcome.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of information through the Site are described in our Privacy Notice, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Notice.

11. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, AND INFORMATION AVAILABLE THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SILVERSTEAD DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, SILVERSTEAD DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR RELIABLE. INFORMATION ABOUT MEDICARE OR MEDICAID CARE OPTIONS, INSURANCE, BENEFITS, PROVIDERS, FACILITIES, AND RELATED MATTERS CHANGES FREQUENTLY; YOU SHOULD VERIFY ANYTHING ON WHICH YOU PLAN TO RELY.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SILVERSTEAD AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SITE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF SILVERSTEAD HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SILVERSTEAD’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SilverStead and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • your use of the Site;

  • your violation of these Terms;

  • your violation of any rights of another party;

  • your submission or disclosure of personal, confidential, protected, sensitive, or proprietary information about another person without sufficient consent or lawful authority;

  • any decision, action, or omission by you or another person based on information available through the Site; or

  • any dispute involving you, your family members, caregivers, providers, facilities, plans, agencies, professionals, or other third parties, to the extent related to your use of the Site or information you submit through the Site.

14. Governing Law; Venue

These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and SilverStead agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Intellectual Property, Submissions and Feedback, Third-Party Links and Services, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law and Venue, and Miscellaneous, will survive.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice and any engagement letter or services agreement you have with us, are the entire agreement between you and SilverStead concerning the Site. If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. SilverStead’s failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale, merger, reorganization, transfer of assets, or similar transaction.
